At Stevenston High Kirk we support and partner with a variety of different ministries, agencies and organisations.

We pray regularly for our missionary and prayer partners: At the present time, one of our church members, Julie Carty, is serving with Iris Ministries in Malawi & other parts of Africa.

As part of being a member of the Church of Scotland we support the work of Christian Aid & Tearfund. In the UK we support the work of Friends of Sure24, Mary's Meals, and many others projects...
OMF Thailand
Bob & Jan Trelogan went to Thailand in 1975 with two children where they spent their first term assisting Rowland Bell follow up interested patients and relatives who had heard the Gospel at Manorom Christian Hospital. As well as providing a part-time veterinary service, they were able to establish six new Christian groups in the surrounding villages with the help of medical workers and Thai elders from Manorom church.

In 1980 they moved up river to Phayuha, the next town, where they gathered three of these groups into one to form a church under their house and, with the help of Manorom elders, they were able to hand over a church of 20 baptized believers with their own rented property to the care of five Thai elders in 1989.

Since then they have been working with lay leaders in 15 churches in Uthai province, developing an indigenous network of rural churches within the Associated Churches of Thailand.

Sure 24 & Rainedge
Stevenston High Kirk has been part of a world wide network of supporters that has supported the fantastic work being carried out by Sammy Nawali and his team in Nakuru, Kenya.

Sure24 is an organisation that runs children’s homes for over 100 orphans, mainly street children, a school for over 300, a feeding programme for local children and offers general support to the local community.

The Living Fountain Academy is a Primary School for 300+ children from Sure24 and the local community. The feeding program is aimed at street children in the locality.

The Kenya government is not able to offer financial help to these type of centres so each orphanage and school have to be self sustaining.
India Village Ministries
India Village Ministries (IVM) began in the year 2001 with Suresh & Roja Vemulapalli. They responded to the call from God to reach and serve the unreached and needy people in the villages of India.

Suresh is a civil engineering graduate but when he was called to the work of the Lord, he left the engineering profession and went to a Seminary in India. He graduated from there with a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) in 1997. Subsequently God led him to Aberdeen University (U.K.) where he graduated with a Masters in Theology in 1999 and a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies in 2005. Roja, who is also a graduate, has a call from God to work with Orphans and children. It was during his time at Aberdeen when a friendship with our minister, the Rev Scott Cameron, was formed.

Over the past few years, Stevenston High Kirk has taken a great interest in the work of India Village Ministries. We have been blessed richly as Suresh has visited and spoken at our church.

Truth For Today Ministries
Since 2006, the High Kirk has supported the ministry of Dr Sam Gordon.

Sam has an international Bible teaching ministry and over the years has travelled extensively around Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.

Originally from Bangor in Northern Ireland, Sam and his wife Lois make their home in Bawtry, a rural community in the heart of England. Their only son Timothy was killed when he was almost fifteen years of age – that story is told in the best-selling book, It’s Hurting Lord.

After twenty years in pastoral ministry, Sam spent almost eleven years as an on-air Bible teacher with Trans World Radio before moving on to a new role as executive director of Messianic Testimony, whose special focus is sharing Jesus with Jewish people. After eight plus years with MT he was led of the Lord in June 2016 to launch Truth for Today. You can check us out on Facebook, updated Monday-Friday with a personal truth for today.
